XR Accessibility
As a movement, XR welcomes everyone, and everything that brings a person. This circle aims to support the movement in promoting this core value by making XR accessible to all rebels.
We recognise that accessibility is a broad topic and have chosen a more specific area of focus to be effective, namely making XR accessible to rebels regardless of their physical and/or mental capabilities. (b) access to neurodivergence, (c) digital accessibility and (d) inclusive, non-validistic language.
- providing information and guidance on access to (parts of) the movement;
- providing material to evaluate and optimise the accessibility of circles, actions and events;
- advice on access to activities, texts and digital material;
- advice on validistic disputes or incidents;
- contact point for rebels involved in discrimination;
- increasing awareness of accessibility through workshops and training;
- advice on accessible alternatives to digital tools;
- offer and carry out an evaluation measuring the current degree of accessibility of XR.
